Connectivity

The IT hub of Kharadi is positioned on Kharadi Road that runs parallel to Wadgaon Sheri. This locality is excellently connected to other parts of the city through MSRDC Kharadi-Mundhwa road. The PMC has proposed to construct a 23-kilometer, six-lane riverside road from Kharadi to Shivane along Mula-Mutha in three phases. Work on two phases, that is, Shivane to Mhatre Bridge and Mhatre Bridge to Sangamwadi Road is currently under construction. A 6-kilometre long road from Shivane to Mhatre Bridge will be constructed in the first phase and an 11.8 kilometre long road will be built from Sangamwadi to Kharadi in the second phase. These roads will run parallel to the main road connecting Yerwada to Kharadi. It will pass through Wadgaon Sheri, Kalyani Nagar and Mundhwa Bridge and will directly link Karvenagar, Kothrud and Deccan Gymkhana areas to Ahmednagar Road. The proposed Lohegaon-Kharadi-Wagholi road project is another important development that is undertaken by PMC.The Pune Airport is situated at a driving distance of 8 kilometres and the railway station is about 15 kilometres away from Kharadi. Kalyani Nagar and Koregaon Park are about 5-6 kilometres away from Kharadi. The newly widened Nagar Highway, new MIDC acquisition at Wagholi and Lonikand are contributing a lot in transforming Kharadi into a preferred residential destination.

The summers are hot, dry, and clear lasting for 2.5 months. The monsoons are windy, cold, and overcast. The winters last for roughly 2 months, the coldest month of the year being January.

Kharadi is one of Pune's IT hubs. The travel time from Kharadi to Mumbai was cut down to 35 minutes due to the service. The vertiport was soon relocated to Koregaon Park - a posh, affluent, central Pune neighbourhood.
