What is Ready Reckoner?

What is Ready Reckoner Rate? Many of us have this question. Ready Reckoner in English is used to purchase real and movable property. In the price rate table, separate rates are fixed for construction classification according to district, taluka, village, area of influence, Municipal Corporation, Nagarpalika, Nagar Parishad. Ready Reckoner rates are determined after approval by the Registrar General or the Chief Comptroller of Revenue. From 2016, these rates come into effect from April 1. However, in the year 2018-2019, these rates were maintained.

The demand for cuts, which was made in June, has been

blocked across the country since March 24. Since then, the state government had not announced ready reckoner rates. Therefore, stamp duty was being levied as per last financial year. The new rates will come into effect from September 12. However, the developers had demanded that the government announce the new rates with cuts in June.
